Tormented

Plot

DIASCLAIMER: This is how the story was suppose to go. The video may differ.

Connor Castillo is a normal guy living a normal life. Until his brother, Corbin, is killed in a car accident during a rainy day. And from that day on, Connor makes a vow to kill the one who killed his brother. He starts to stalk this girl. Her name is Ruby Foster. He finds out what her favorite restaurant is and gets a job there just to enact his revenge.

Once everything is in place and Connor knows Ruby’s schedule down to a T, he comes into work one day with arsenic in hand. Just like he planned and right on schedule, Ruby walks in but with a friend this time, Ellie, and they sit in his section. He takes their drink orders, each a large water. When he's back in the kitchen, he takes the arsenic out and when he’s about to drop it into Ruby’s cup, his coworker distracts him and he drops it into the wrong cup. A few days later, he turns on the news after he comes home from work to find out that he killed the wrong person.

With Ellie dead, Connor heads out on a walk to clear his mind. While on his walk, he starts to see her constantly until he has had enough. He thinks that he’s either going insane or some look alike is following him. He runs off to a sandy clearing to get away from her. As he’s pulling into the parking lot, he thinks he sees her and sprints away, only to trip a minute later. As he looks up, he sees her. He sees Ellie right above him. Then, within a blink of the eye, she stabs him.

All of the sudden, Connor wakes up. He’s on his couch, in his living room, with his phone ringing. It's Corbin. Connor then picks up the phone and the film ends. Interpret the ending however you’d like.

About

This is a short film I produced in Digital Filmmaking. This was a group project. We had 10 weeks to produce, write, film and edit. Out of those 10 weeks, our director was only there for 4 or 5. He waned complete control over this and forced us to make changes because he didn’t want to be here and was rushing us to finish multiple things so he could go home. I want to remake this some day as a producer’s cut. This is not how this film was suppose to go. There are missing scenes and audio. Multiple of these missing scenes are crucial to the plot and add a lot of context.
